About Healthy Places

Supporting health and wellbeing for learning and life.

Healthy Places (formally the Achievement Program) brings together all current and future health and wellbeing activities under one clear approach. It offers schools and services an effective framework, action guides and tailored support. Building on existing strengths, Healthy Places helps to identify practical next steps to support lasting health, wellbeing and learning benefits.

Healthy Places works in collaboration with health and education partners across the state, helping to connect schools and services to the programs, resources and support they need when they need them.

Supported by the Victorian Government and Cancer Council Victoria, Healthy Places is free for Victorian schools and early childhood services and offers recognition for your commitment to health and wellbeing.

Refreshing the Achievement Program

Since 2012, the Achievement Program has been a key part of the Victorian Government’s approach to health in everyday settings. After a review and extensive consultation, it has a new name: Healthy Places Healthy Futures.

The new approach focuses on children and young people. This highlights the powerful role schools and services play in supporting their health and wellbeing.
